Give me the house where the toys are strewn
Where the dolls are asleep in the chairs
Where the building blocks and the toy balloons
And the soldiers guard the stairs. ...

Toys are important to a child’s play and what joy it is when mother or father take time to play with children and enjoy their imagination. You can learn a lot from a child’s play about their feelings and grasp their needs. I had a class in college where we looked through a window to a children’s nursery. Our assignment was to write what the children were expressing through their play. Were they aggressive, happy, or content? It was an amazing learning experience. Take time to watch your children at play and respond to their needs. Jesus said, “Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me; for of such is the kingdom of heaven. -Matthew 19:14
