"Laugh or Cry"

Happy is the man who finds a true friend, and far happier is he who finds that true friend IN HIS WIFE. –Franz Schubert

When I met the "Love of My Life", I felt I had met the other half of myself. We were married and blessed with seven beautiful children plus some extras, the amount I had always wanted. We found delight in dancing together and having basketball, football, and baseball, all on our agenda. We blended our personalities and enjoyed our children, especially traveling together across the United States in a motor home. On one particular trip, we stopped with our children at Kings Dominion in Doswell, Virginia. It was the middle of May and the park was not crowded. Our children ranged in age from one year to fourteen-years-old. Placing our older ones in charge of a younger one, my husband and I enjoyed the park with the two little ones. Suddenly we we found ourselves caught in a terrible storm. We pushed the stroller with the baby and three-year-old to the motor home as fast as we could. Opening the door, we were greeted by the putrid smell of a melting baby bottle that I had left in a pan of water on the stove. We looked at each other and realized we only had two of our seven children. With the combination of the storm, the burned up baby bottle, and the lost children, we sat down and wanted to cry but laughed instead. It had been a series of crazy events. The storm lessened a bit and my husband went back into the park to find our missing children. The oldest one had the four-year-old and three were in a building titled, “Lost Parents!”
