I cherish my role as a Grandmother. Around President’s Day, we traditionally have a Grandson Sleepover. I themed the best sleepover “Who Was George Washington?” I planned a modernized George Washington dinner of ham, potatoes, fruits and veggies. At each place setting I placed a gift wrapped copy of the book “Who Was George Washington?” Around the dinner table we discussed George Washington. After dinner we played games and watched a movie. Sleeping bags were thrown out on my bedroom floor and stories told.
The next morning after breakfast the boys built forts on my back awn and we did a mock battle between the British and Americans using flour filled napkin grenades. My Grandsons loved the sleepover so much they ask me to let them do a summer sleepover and act out the battles again as shown in the picture above.
