Being a Grandfather is a sacred trust with delightful rich moments as shown in this picture of my husband with four Grandchildren. It all started when boxing gloves for one of our sons were left by Santa. What fun the boys had trying to knock out their Dad who often faked a fall over and would box with only one arm. The giggles and laughter were rewarding enough for his antics. The boys loved it. Those boxing gloves were a favorite in our family.
The children grew older and married. This is the second generation enjoying the boxing gloves with their Grandfather. As can be seen, by the picture, four Grandchildren are in the melee and it’s not all boys. A nine-month-old granddaughter is trying to figure out what is going on behind her, and two granddaughter are climbing on Grandpa’s back as he spars with a two-year-old who is not about to lose, note his footwork!
