We did not let the fact that we had three little ones four and under keep us from traveling. On this trip, we went to Washington D.C. for a convention my husband needed to attend. .I watched the children with the help of the older ones at the Smithsonian while he attended meetings. We are in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Independence Hall is in the background. My husband is holding our five-month-old our oldest son is in charge of the four-year-old, and the six-year-old is pushing the stroller for the two-year-old. Adventures with children start when you do not have enough hands and arms for all of them. We lost one at Lincoln Memorial, and the same child again in Evanston Wyoming. In this picture, some of the children are pulling funny faces. They were tired of pictures, but mother persisted. My children still watch out for one another along with spoiling their mother. It is all worth the work, worry, and effort put into parenthood. We had adventures like those written about in the book I reviewed this week titled, The World of Dick and Jane.
