In 2004, I began working on a Family Reunion to be held in Nauvoo, Illinois to honor our ancestors. I wanted to pass on to our children the legacy of their ancestors with stories, food, and a charm representing their ancestor's country to be put on a charm bracelet. I researched foods, dresses, and the customs of Holland, Switzerland, England, and Italy, and we ordered T-shirts with a picture of a Nauvoo artifact on the front and Barton Family Reunion 2005, on the back. It was such a fun reunion that a daughter-in-law gave me this delightful book When Lightening Comes in a Jar. Unknown to me at the time, it would be the 100th anniversary of the Prophet Joseph Smith. Along with all the other delightful plays in Nauvoo, we were able to attend this show honoring the Prophet Joseph Smith.
