A grandfather, passing through the veil, requested a promise to get together for a Family Reunion once a year. With the busy schedules in today’s world, it is often difficult. However, whenever families can make it annually or semiannually, do your best to make it happen. It renews relationships and brings joy to the family. At this particular Family Reunion, we served Hawaiian Haystacks to 30 people. The Uncles in the family made sure my mother, who at that time was in a wheelchair, made it to the Lodge safely. We rode inner tubes down the mountainside, even sending a five-year-old who begged to ride. When we gather at Family Reunions, we often repeat the “Camel” song or “Father Abraham,” taught by a youth Scout Camp leader. It was a time never to be forgotten by all
