Eating Alone! Who Likes That?

With the passing of the “Love of My Life,” I invite Grandchildren to come for sleepovers and fun times, entertaining them for a parents night out. I fix easy to prepare foods or usually it is a pizza, veggies, and root beer. By the time I started to eat, some were ready to leave. I did not like that. While pondering about this, the idea came to have the first child through eating read from The Beginners Bible. The stories were short, easy to read, gave topics to talk about and built a love for the scriptures. Bravely I introduced the idea, it has become a tradition. In fact I have seen Grandchildren hurry through eating just so they could read. If I am not yet done eating, another child reads. This adorable book is kept near or on top of the table adding to the centerpiece.

Eventually I used it on adult family groups at the suggestion of a grandchild. It is good there too.

The above picture was taken at the home of my grandparents, many years ago.
