Although my parents were not rich, they made Christmas memorable. We were excited to set out the pumpkin pie Santa ate. We pinned our stockings to a chair and on Christmas morning all six of us lined up youngest to oldest to enter the front room. Santa brought a doll or dressed up our old one. The Christmas I remember most was the year Santa brought my mother a new couch set. Watching the joy on my mother’s face was the best Christmas present ever left by Santa. it was a Christmas to Remember.
