Childhood Dreams

When I was two years old, my father placed me on top of a dapple grey pedigreed Percheron horse.  I felt her coarse hair and petted her soft fur.  It was magic, from that moment on I loved horses. We called our next horse Blaze.  Whenever I could, I talked my father into saddling Blaze and letting me ride. My best friend Sharon and I took dance lessons together and went to each other's house to spend a Sunday afternoon.  One beautiful Sunday, we rode Blaze.  We had the best time until we bounced off Blaze onto the ground.  We laughed about it and decided it was time to end our ride.  However, it did not stop my dream of someday riding in a Rodeo Grand Entry which happened after we sold Blaze and purchased Pinto.  By now I was a member of the Davis County Junior Posse.  I not only rode Pinto in the Grand Entry but participated in the Barrel Racing Contest.  I fulfilled my childhood dream.
