Land of the free because of the brave! -Unknown
John Adams said of the 4th of July, “it ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires and illuminations from one end of the continent to the other from this time forward forever more.” He loved America, and so do I. Take the family to a parade. Children love the clowns, the firetrucks, the Boy Scouts, and High School bands accompanying a parade, whether in a small town or Washington, D.C. Children love the banners and floats, the cowboys and cowgirls on horses. Sometimes the fireworks can be scary but holding them on your lap or sitting close to them makes it a memorable night. Don’t miss celebrating the 4th of July like John Adams said it should be celebrated. On this day, America became a free country.
This was the 200th Anniversary of America.
