In Grafton, West Virginia there is a museum honoring Amma Jarvis, the founder of Mother’s Day I was excited when Olive Ricketts the Curator of the museum invited me to speak and do a book signing for my book Anna Jarvis - How a Girl Changed the Calendar. My daughter Rebecca said, “Let’s do a Road Trip. I had no idea how many stops we could make on our way to West Virginia. (Blog P{ost coming soon, “ Vam Camping at 83 Years Old.) Beginning at the Albuquerque Petroglyphs and twenty places of destinations later, we arrived in Grafton, West Virginia. On May 7th, a Mother’s Day Founder Festival is held at the Museum honoring the Mother of the Year. I was a guest speaker and enjoyed sharing The Joy of Being a Mother, along with My Journey Writing, Anna’s Celebration - How a Girl Changed the Calendar. After the Festival I was honored to have a Book Signing event with many people from the surrounding area of Grafton and tour the Anna Jarvis Museum.
