What Was Cooking in Martha Washington's Presidential Mansion by Tanya Larkin

Describes Martha Washington, wife of the first president of the United States, her activities during the Revolutionary War and as first lady, and some of the foods she served at various stages in her life, and includes recipes.

MY REVIEW: I love, love, love this book. It is well-written and illustrated. It not only tells the story of Martha and George Washington but includes recipes of foods cooked by Martha. I love teaching my Grandchildren about the early history of this nation. Having foods to share with them is like ice cream on top of apple pie.
