The Pout-Pout Fish by Deborah Diesen pictures by Dan Hanna

Amazon writes:

Deep in the water, Mr. Fish swims about With his fish face stuck In a permanent pout. Can his pals cheer him up? Will his pout ever end? Is there something he can learn From an unexpected friend? Swim along with the pout-pout fish as he discovers that being glum and spreading "dreary wearies" isn't really his destiny. Bright ocean colors and playful rhyme come together in Deborah Diesen's fun fish story that's sure to turn even the poutiest of frowns upside down.

MY REVIEW: Definitely a five star book. This is a New York Times best seller. Deborah Diesen is clever in the way she attacks a characteristic often had by a child of pouting if it does not get it’s way. She is a child psychologist as she resolves the issue in her book, The Pout-Pout Fish. I would consider it great reading for children and adults with adorable pictures by Dan Hanna . In addition, the entire book is sung on YouTube - Don’t miss The Pout-Pout Fish. .
