A history of the Nauvoo Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, from Joseph Smith's founding of Nauvoo, Illinois, in 1839 to the rebuilding of the Temple beginning in 1999.
MY REVIEW: A five-star book written for children with a ring to adult enjoyment. Cleverly written the story is told about a stone found buried in the ground when they began rebuilding the Nauvoo temple. A viewpoint of the beautiful piece of stone, its history, and the good it will accomplish is given by the architect, the surveyor, the slab layer, the foreman, the landscaper, and the engineer as “The children peered at the stone not sure what to think. The children peered and the stone just sat.”. This stone has a lot to give and tell.
