by Bella Koral Illustrated by William Hutchinson

MY REVIEW: A five star book. On Amazon this book is listed at a very expensive price, with no review. I own a copy. The binding has been taped on because I have used it so much. It has stories about Washington’s birth, his childhood, and teenage years. Koral, the author tells about the maxims he copied such as: “Labor to keep alive in your breast the little spark of celestial fire called conscience.” It goes on to tell about him as a surveyor, battles he fought, and becoming Commander-In-Chief. If you can beg, borrow, or purchase this book from Amazon or Ebay (they have a few), it will be a treasure in your library.
