Uncles & Aunts are Fun

Aunts and Uncles are important in the lives of our children. It is a joy to have them during celebrations such as special birthdays, weddings, and family reunions. Even more fun is getting together for a holiday such as Easter, Memorial Day, and the 4th of July. Especially fun is a camp out in the mountains with Aunts, Uncles and cousins. One such occasion happened in our family.

After getting settled, an Uncle took the children fishing and told them he would eat a whole fish - head, body and tail. The children challenged him, “You won’t do that!” To their amazement, after catching a few fish, their Uncle cooked one over an open fire. The children then watched wide eyed and shocked, as he held it up, then ate it, head body and tail. Uncles and Aunts bring a fun dimension into the eyes of their nephews and nieces. An old song goes, I’ve been fishin’with my Uncle, I wrestledl my cousin I even kissed Aunt Lou, ew!”
