CHICKEN FRIED STEAK
4 large steak cut in half
1 egg (optional)
½ cup milk
1 package of Saltines
salt & pepper
Crisco for frying
Cut steak in half. Melt two tablespoons of Crisco in frying pan. Stir together egg and milk in a pie pan or small cake pan. Crush crackers on a clean dishtowel. Dip steak in egg/milk mixture then crushed crackers crumbs. Place steak in frying pan; brown on both sides and salt and pepper to taste. Spray 9 x 13 dish with “non stick cooking spray”. Place meat inside.
SAUCE 2 cans Cream of Mushroom soup
1 ½ cup sour cream
Mix Cream of Mushroom soup and sour cream. Spoon over steak. Do not double layer.
Bake for 30 minutes at 350 degrees. Serve 8.
