It is vitally important to enjoy the company of your spouse as years go by and the children come. Lucky is the couple who have siblings or parents that help with children making it possible to sneak away for a weekend. Recently a niece said she and her siblings were taught by their father to “love their spouse fiercely”. I loved the wording it was not gently, not when convenient, but “fiercely”. Great marriages require this kind of love and fun moments together in places of destination. Such was the case when this picture was taken. We had a convention that took us to New Orleans where we caught a riverboat up the Mississippi to the Chalmette Battlefield. We were humbled as we read the history behind that battle and the intervention of Divine Providence. Along with this our marriage was deepened and made stronger.
