HOMEMADE ROOT BEER

5 gallons water
5 lbs. Dry Ice
1 2 oz bottle Root Beer Concentrate
Place all ingredients in 5-gallon container and stir with a stick. Dry ice can be dangerous. Do not allow children to handle the dry ice.
This has been a favorite. My husband and I served it at youth groups and neighborhood parties. It is especially good for Halloween because it brews like a witch’s brew. Dry ice causes a white fog to emerge.
My mother bottled homemade root beer. My sisters and I
collected whatever variety of soft drink bottles we could find, and Mom purchased the caps and a cap machine. We had bottles and bottles of homemade root beer and checked them daily. One day we went down to see the bottles of root beer only to find they had exploded all over the fruit room. We laughed and laughed about the exploded root beer.
