"You are a Princess. Believe in Fairy Tales"

Early on a Friday evening my Granddaughters were invited to a Princess Sleepover. When they arrived an inexpensive Terra was placed on their head. In the kitchen we set up a spa with face masks, cucumbers on the eyes, and I invited a friend over who did make up on the older granddaughters.

It is so important for our daughters and granddaughters to feel they are Princesses. Life is not easy, none of us know the adversities that will come into the life of our children and grandchildren, but come they will. Giving them a chance to feel special and treated like a Princess adds to their supportive bank account. We took funny pictures of the spa. The Granddaughters loved the tea sandwiches, fruits, cupcakes and candies and wearing the Terra's. We watched the movie, “Princess Diaries”, talked about how to sit stand and walk like a Princess.

I had a teacher in my youth that made me feel like a Princess. She was a Grandmother and invited us girls to visit her home often, one night we had a sleepover. Her husband was going deer hunting. Before he left he wrote a note to each of us saying, “I think you are tops!” Another night she gave all us girls a little card with a mirror (made only of tinfoil paper) and the statement, “Behold Your Queen” printed below the mirror. It has stayed with me throughout my life and given me faith and hope that I was special, someone loved by God.
