Family Favorite Shepherd’s Pie
l medium onion - chopped
1 pound of hamburger
salt and pepper to taste
1 can of cut green beans
1 can of tomato soup
5 medium potatoes cooked
¼ cup milk
1 egg - beaten
Brown onion and hamburger in medium frying pan. Salt and pepper to taste. Drain fat. Add cut green beans and tomato soup. Pour into 2 quart baking dish. Mash potatoes adding milk and 1 beaten egg. Top hamburger mixture with spoons of mashed potatoes. Cook for 30 minutes at 350.
MY REVIEW: This is a recipe I was taught in a high school Home Economics class and the first dish I cooked in my youth. It has been a family favorite every since.
